Emily King是來自紐約的R&B女歌手，雖然專輯曾被葛萊美獎提名過，並不算是所謂暢銷熱門歌手。
我是在YouTube上亂逛偶然聽到的，她的嗓音有些獨立音樂歌手的調調但帶著jazzy風味，沙沙的又柔順，具個人特色。她的歌曲我聽得不多，只是隨機式隨心情聽或半途切掉，無法說上喜不喜歡這些曲風和風格。
最近偶然發現的這首Distance有些亮點，小清新的輕鬆韻味，復古感和當代感兼具，沒什麼黏膩的流行元素。但竟已是2014年的「舊歌」（果然遠離西洋樂壇太久太久了......）

這大概是一首關於遠距戀愛的歌，但2020才聽到它，倒是呼應疫情下「隔離」與「社交距離」的各種心情。

稍微認真看看歌詞和編曲方式，也真是新世代的思維方式了，沒有什麼斷句對應規則或該怎麼起承轉合，很有隨性感。
